Terms of Use

Tita Files is entertainment and cultural commentary. The Files describe archetypes, exaggerated composite characters drawn from shared Filipino culture. They are not statements of fact about any real, identifiable person, living or otherwise. Any resemblance to your actual tita is cultural, affectionate, and honestly a little inevitable.

Quiz results are for fun. They are not psychological assessments, and there is still no appeal process.

When you use Submit a File, you keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to review, edit, adapt, publish, and display it as part of the archive, with or without attribution depending on your anonymity choice. Submissions are moderated by a human, nothing publishes automatically, and we may decline or remove any submission at our discretion.

Submit archetypes, not exposés. Do not include real names, photos, or details that identify an actual person. Do not submit anything defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, or unlawful, and do not submit content you do not have the right to share. You are responsible for what you send us.

Submissions are voluntary and uncompensated, like helping at a fiesta.

Do not misuse the site: no scraping at abusive volumes, no attempting to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it, no spam through the submission form, and no using the site to harass anyone.

The Tita Files name, the Tita Cards brand, the site design, and the archive content (except your submissions) belong to us or our licensors. You are welcome to share links and reasonable excerpts with credit. Do not republish the archive wholesale or use our brand to imply endorsement.

The site carries clearly marked advertising and some affiliate links. If you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are written in character but reflect genuinely tita-approved picks; ads are separate and are not endorsements by us. Third-party shops and advertisers are outside our control, and your dealings with them are governed by their terms.

Links to other sites (including app stores, Shopee, Lazada, and social platforms) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability.

Tita Files is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any home remedy quoted in the archive actually works. The Encyclopedia Tita’s advice, in particular, is not medical advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use Tita Files, which is zero pesos.

We may update these terms or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time. Updated terms take effect when posted, with the date above revised. We may also restrict access for anyone who violates these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the competent courts of the Philippines, ideally after at least one attempt to settle things over merienda.
